MelodiCare Cymru is committed to treating the Welsh and English languages equally and to supporting the use of Welsh in our services and communications wherever possible.

1. Our Commitment / Ein Hymrwymiad

We recognise the importance of the Welsh language as an integral part of the culture and identity of Wales. We aim to:

• Treat Welsh and English equally in our communications

• Offer services in Welsh where possible and practical

• Respect individuals’ right to use the Welsh language

2. Communication / Cyfathrebu

Written Communication / Cyfathrebu Ysgrifenedig

• We will aim to provide key information, including our website content, social media posts, and printed materials, in both Welsh and English.

• Clients are welcome to contact us in Welsh or English. We will respond in the language used or that the client prefers.

Verbal Communication / Cyfathrebu Llafar

• Clients may request to receive services or speak with us in Welsh.

3. Therapy and Wellbeing Services / Gwasanaethau Therapi a Lles

• We respect clients' choice of language when accessing our services.

• We will ask clients at the first point of contact whether they prefer Welsh or English.

• Where Welsh-language therapy sessions are requested, we will accommodate this if we have the appropriate capacity. If not, we will clearly explain the options available.

4. Website and Online Content / Cynnwys Ar-lein

• We work towards providing our website content in both Welsh and English.

• Key pages and policies (such as this one) will be available bilingually.

• Social media posts will be shared in both languages where possible.

5. Staff Welsh Language Ability / Medrau Cymraeg Staff

• MelodiCare Cymru staff (Bethan Wynne Phillips) is fluent in both Welsh and English and is able to communicate fluently both verbally and through written communication

6. Feedback / Adborth

We welcome feedback on how we can improve our Welsh language provision.
